Food is decent. The afghan salad is the best in the city. The rice is also some of the best of any halal in the area. I would give 5 stars, but sometimes the fish tastes a little dried out and sometimes it's fresher. Their hot sauce is also some of the best at any halal spot around. My daughters love both the lamb over rice and the chicken. The portions are large and the meal comes with a soda. Definitely worth the price. Service is fast and it's a little hole in the wall so I only do takeout.

Excellent Went and had to try it about 10:00 pm. We got several things. The lamb over rice. Such moist rice and tender lamb. Excellent flavors. The chicken wings were my favorite. Perfectly seasoned and beyond crunchy. Juicy and delicious ! I must go back just for the wings. Loved the hot sauce. The falafel was perfect ! Let's take a minute to discuss those French fries !!! Loved it ! All and all, a very enjoyable inexpensive surprise coming from this small little gem in downtown Albany !

I have had... Chicken over rice Lamb over rice Combo over rice Chicken wings (6 and 9pc) Let's talk about them wingssssssss tho! Pure perfection. They are whole wings. They are perfectly seasoned and fried crispy. The chicken is tender and juicy. You do not need to dip them into any sauce. 5.0 stars Chicken over rice The plate as a whole tastes better with white sauce all over it. The chicken could be juicer but the white sauce makes up for it. I'd say this plate is 3.9 stars Lamb over rice The lamb is really good. Nice size, nice flavor, and blends well with the rice and salad that come with it. Highly recommend if you're looking for GREAT halal food

The food is so good! The fries are so crunchy and amazing. When you walk in, the place is so clean and open. They greet you as soon as you walk in and our food was ready in 10 minutes!!! Hands down the best Halal place in the Albany area. You must come here.

The lamb over rice is legit. This is delicious and fresh food that exceeds most, if not all, of the competitors. Service is speedy and the business is very clean and well run.

Great find! :D Love Halal food in general! Got the lamb gyro and the portion was just right. The lamb was tender and flavorful. There were also french fries which I definitely enjoyed! Very crispy! Definitely worth the price! Bonus: You also get a can of soda with your meal!

This place is open late and these guys are whipping out some great food. It is located in a rather run down part of town. If that scares you, don't go at night. I went minutes before close and it was fine. I called ahead and picked it up. Masks are required but I didnt have mine and it was okay. The mixed grill was delicious! For the price, I would order this all the time if I lived in the area. There is mo real dining area right now. Not sure if there ever was, but food comes out fast and hot. Ask for extra white sauce and thank me later.

After trying halal guys in New York City we were trying to find something comparable in Albany and try a few different restaurants. I'm happy to report that I actually liked this establishment more than the halal guys cart in New York City. The food here tasted fresher and less processed, and was not greasy in the slightest. The hot sauce wasn't quite as hot as the one in the city, but simply adding more of it to the white sauce still produced the desired effect. Excellent customer service, off street parking in a small lot, reasonable prices, and large portion sizes all indicate that this is getting bookmarked and will be our go to place for takeout going forward. Quite happy to have discovered this today!
